Adrift in the Sea now carries greeting cards! I designed all of them, and few of them are up now. There is a Star trek inspired greeting card, and another inspired by the movie The Room. I’ll be slowly rolling out more as the week progresses. Don’t be shy, go check them out now!

You must go hiking every Sunday. You must go hiking every Sunday. You must go hiking every Sunday. You must go hiking every Sunday.
That’s my new mantra.
PS. My legs are killing me.
PPS. So worth it.

Photo of my business cards on my vintage couch.
Just got my new business cards from MOO in the mail today! They are made from 100% recycled paper. I designed the front and back of them. On the front it says Adrift in the Sea, along with my name, website and how to get in contact with me. On the back of each one is a different photo of one of the items in my shop.

It’s almost the first day of Summer. June 21st to be exact. I had to google that because I previously thought summer had already started. It’s so hot out.
Really wish I was at Dolores Park relaxing-all-cool-like.
Darn, summer really clashes with wearing proper ladies going out shoes. Think men’s dress shoes, but for ladies.
I have this new notion that I just can’t wear flip-flops. Or sandals. Same thing though, right? Anyway, there’s nothing inherently wrong with wearing them but for some reason I think they should be under restricted use. For example if you’re a) actually going to the beach or b) at home, then it’s perfectly fine to wear them. What gives? I don’t know. Maybe i’ll be the one with trench foot this summer because I refused to wear sandals, opting for proper ladies dress shoes instead.

Just opened my Etsy shop! http://adriftinthesea.etsy.com
Well, technically I’ve had it for almost a year. I never listed anything for sale until now. I actually have a business license now, registered with the city of Berkeley. And a seller’s permit, and the name Adrift in the Sea is registered with Alameda County.
My original plan was to sell things that I make. But I’m incredibly too busy to make anything at the moment, so I’ll be selling vintage items for now.
Check my shop out and let me know what you think. While the shop isn’t pages and pages of items now, I’ll hopefully be adding new things regularly.
Also check out the twitter page I made for my shop, http://twitter.com/adriftinthesea There’s also a facebook page I made, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Adrift-in-the-Sea/215385865161293 For the facebook page, I generally wanted to reserve my shop’s name. I haven’t planned out the exact function of that page yet. And I haven’t decided if I want start writing on Adrift in the Sea’s twitter page mainly as opposed to my personal twitter page.
I’ll figure everything out soon enough.

I’ve been on a continuous search for a bag that will hold all of my books, notebooks, Moleskine planner, water bottle, light lunch/snacks, phone, Ipod, wallet, keys, pens, sunglasses, space to stash a jacket/sweater/or coat, and MacBook Pro + mouse + charger. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE for the perfect bag. I’ve researched all the different types of messenger bags that offer laptop compatibility, Chrome, timbuk2, etc. But none of them make the cut. They’re just too ugly. I need a bag that’s functional; a bag I can get in and out of quickly, and that can accommodate all the many things I carry on a day-to-day basis, in addition to looking great.
Maybe it’s too much to ask, I mean, a bag that can hold all those things. But I just can’t accept that. Well, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no bag out there for me so I’ll just have to make one.
First thing’s first. I have a few ideas on the type of messenger bag I want to construct. I just need some time to sit down and sketch them all out. Hopefully I’ll have some time tomorrow.
I can’t wait to pick out the fabric, get some supplies, and make a prototype.

I’ve embarked on new adventures and I’m ready to start documenting them here on tumblr.
Isn’t it a bit exciting not knowing how the future will unfold?
